Williamsburg

One weekend this past November, a friend and I both felt an urge to get away from the city for a little while. We settled on a day trip to Colonial Williamsburg which ended up being farther than either of us remembered and so we did not make it there until almost dusk. The shops and houses were closing down but we were able to go for a horse-drawn carriage ride before having dinner at the King’s Arms Tavern.

Even though that was all we could do, there was just something so worthwhile about the getaway.
